Everything You Might Like To Know
Choosing someone to care for your companion is deeply personal, and naturally comes with many questions.
Below you'll find answers to some of the things we're. most commonly asked about our walks, visits and care services.
If there's anything else you'd like to know, we're always happy to chat.
How are muddy paws handled after walks?
We always carry towels, cleaning supplies and portable sprayers to help clean muddy paws before returning home. After woodland adventures, companions may still be slightly damp, but never heavily muddy.
+ How many dogs do you walk at one time?
Our group walks are intentionally kept small to ensure every companion receives calm, attentive and safe care. Most walks include around four dogs, with a maximum of six insured depending on temperament, compatibility and environment.
+ How much notice is required for cancellation?
We kindly ask for as much notice as possible for cancellations. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours may still be chargeable, although exceptional circumstances are always considered compassionately.
+ How long is my dog walked for?
Most adventures last around one hour, although some companions may be slightly longer depending on transport routes, enrichment activities and the day's adventures.
+ How much notice do you require for bookings?
Availability can vary throughout the year, particularly during holidays and weekends, so we always recommend getting in touch as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Can you accommodate reactive or nervous dogs?
Every companion is unique, which is why we begin with a calm meet & greet to understand their personality, comfort levels and individual needs.
While we cannot accommodate dogs with a history of serious aggression within group settings, we may be able to support nervous or reactive companions through gradual introductions and carefully managed trial walks.

Thoughtful care, every step of the way.
+ What do you require to walk my dog?
Simply your companion and any essentials they may need. We provide leads, towels, treats and waste bags; although we're always happy to accommodate preferred equipment, dietary requirements or routines discussed during your meet & greet.
+ My dog doesn’t recall, can they still join in?
Not perfecting recall just yet? That's absolutely okay. We use long lines and carefully managed walks to help build confidence and safety whilst continuing to support training and enrichment.
+ I am going on holiday, can you look after my small animal?
Our home visits are ideal for cats and smaller companions whilst you're away, helping maintain their familiar routines in the comfort of their own home.
+ What happens if my routine changes?
We completely understand that routines and commitments can change over time. If services are no longer required, we simply ask for any keys to be returned or collected within a reasonable timeframe.
+ Can feeding be included after walks?
Absolutely. We're always happy to follow feeding instructions provided during your companion's care routine.
+ How does payment work?
Depending on the service provided, invoices are typically issued weekly, with payment accepted via bank transfer or cash.
+ Are you insured?
Yes — Loving Tails Pet Care is fully insured through Protectivity Pet Business Insurance for Animal Related Industries. Certificates can happily be provided upon request.
